Description
CHATEAUNEUF DU PAPE GT-1
The GT-1 Chateauneuf, is a blended (50% Syrah & 50% Grenache) full-bodied red wine, under the wine appellation of Chateauneuf du pape AOP, exclusive to the Rhône Valley wine region.
The terroir at LePlan vineyard is located at an ancient bedrock of the Rhone river and it´s therefore mostly consisted of diluvial alpine deposits (rolled pebbles), very similar to what you can find in many other parts of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape area.
Unlike the ” younger brother “ RS-1 Chateauneuf du pape, the harvesting period for the GT-1 usually takes place in late September and it is entirely done by hand.
The GT-1 Chateauneuf was awarded in 2021 with the Silver medal by Decanter world Wines scoring 92/100 points & the silver medal at the Mondial Bruxelles.

92/100, great Chateauneuf from the former Belgian race pilot and his family. Covered but complex sweetness. Dark cherries, leather and spice. The wines of Vermeersch are increasingly popular and a real hype in Japan. Their quality is tops and recommendable to buy now.
Fantastic wine!
Had this wine on a wine festival and bought one and just had it. It’s fucking awesome. To be honest never heard of Vermeersch but that doesn’t tale away that this wine is all you want from a CdP, dark fruit, little spice. Full body.
