LePlan GT wine

The GT wines are principally produced from single grape varieties, using local and traditional grapes such as Carignan, Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre and Viognier. The total area of the vineyard is 24 hectares (22 ha reds and 2 ha whites). The vines are on average 40 years old, and the average yield is 25 hectolitres per hectare. The vines are situated in the appellation with guarantee of origin (AOP) Côtes du Rhône Villages, but are reclassified as Vin de France, as the AOC does not over wines that are produced with mono grape varieties.

The clayey limestone soil with loose pebbles traps the heat during the day and releases it during the night. The soil is naturally drained by the gravel, and one finds the first groundwater beyond 3, because of which the roots can get at water at the height of summer. The soil, coupled with the Mediterranean climate characterised by its mistral I, which keeps the vines dry and immune to diseases, that’s what makes the Grand Terroir. The LePlan GT wines are made from organic grapes (certified by Ecocert). The average annual production of GT wines is 60.000 bottles (Limited).

LePlan RS wine

The LePlan Classic wines are principally wines covered by the Vallée du Rhône Appellation, produced from Grenache, Syrah and Mourvedre grapes (GSM) and three Sauvignon Blanc, Grenache rosé and Merlot wines to accompany first courses. This wine is in a way the firm’s second wine, produced from selected grapes and wines from privileged partners in the region, always with Maison LePlan-Vermeersch quality standards. The average annual production of LePlan Classic wines is 150.000 bottles (unlimited).

LePlan GP wine
